The only football game series which is considered as a match to theFIFA series developed by EA is the PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) seriesdeveloped by Konami. This series is to have its latest addition, ProEvolution Soccer 2012, in October 2011. As per its predecessors, ProEvolution Soccer 2012 will be exclusively licensed by UEFA, thus it willhave the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and the UEFA ChampionsLeague, fully licensed. This game also has license for Copa BridgetoneSudamericana and Copa Santander Libertadores.
This gameis set to use a very overhauled AI engine. AI players will makeself-created and intelligent move when off the ball. This will give theplayers a more attacking style of gaming experience. Compared to itspredecessors, a new mode of game has been added. It is called theFootball Life. Changes from its previous versions include, defenderscannot catch up with the players running with the ball easily, extremegraphics and detailing, the referee can stop play for fouls even whenthe ball goes out of play after the incident, goalkeeping has beenimproved, including its detailing and originality, and many otherfeatures are added in this version of PES.
PES 2012simproved AI will improve the reality of the game during dead ballsituations. The jostling experience has been dramatically improved.Inter Milan, AC Milan, AS Roma and Liverpool FC and some other teamswould include the licensed clubs in PES 2012 and the licensed nationalteams would include Spain, Portugal, Germany, Holland, England andFrance.
